Safety Information
At BlueStar, safety is our top priority, which is why we focus on making every journey a safe one. We do this by maintaining our fleet to the highest standards, as well as hiring and training highly skilled drivers.
BlueStar knows it has precious cargo aboard and our coaches are School Bus Certified and covered over and above the accepted levels of insurance for transportation carriers with 10 Million ICBC coverage plus 5 Million of General Liability, thus providing excellent piece of mind to our customers.
Fleet Safety
We ensure our fleet is inspected daily and maintained regularly to meet all regulatory requirements. Our in-house team of mechanics understands the importance we place on safety as a company and helps us to ensure our vehicles remain in top shape for each and every journey. As a transportation provider, we strictly adhere to all Provincial, Federal and USA Transportation Regulations and we are in good standing with all government regulatory bodies. As of December 2017, the entire BlueStar fleet will be equipped with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
Driver Training
Our drivers are selected for both their driving abilities and customer service skills. Each driver is required to participate in industry leading training which includes, Complete Coach Orientation, Defensive Driving, Customer Service, Coach Maintenance (washing & cleaning), and Electronic Logs. All drivers are required to adhere to company standards, pre-employment screening and drivers under the DOT program undergo random drug and alcohol tests.
